1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SpeakUpNigeria ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. Platform Description

SpeakUpNigeria is a public opinion polling platform for Nigerian citizens. It allows users to create polls, vote on polls, and share results. The Platform is intended for users located in Nigeria.

3. Eligibility

  • You must be located in Nigeria to cast votes
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the Platform
  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use the Platform to:

  • Create polls that are defamatory, hateful, or incite violence against any person or group
  • Post content that violates Nigerian law, including the Cybercrimes Act 2015
  • Manipulate poll results through bots, VPNs, or other artificial means
  • Impersonate any person, organisation, or government body
  • Spread deliberate misinformation or disinformation
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
  • Post content that is sexually explicit or pornographic
  • Attempt to hack, disrupt, or damage the Platform

5. Poll Content

All polls are subject to review and approval by our moderation team before appearing on the public trending feed. We reserve the right to reject or remove any poll that violates these terms without notice. Polls that are approved do not necessarily reflect the views of SpeakUpNigeria.

6. Voting Integrity

Each person may cast one vote per poll. Attempting to vote multiple times through technical means (VPN, multiple devices, etc.) is a violation of these terms and may result in your votes being invalidated and your access being restricted.

7. Intellectual Property

The SpeakUpNigeria name, logo, and platform design are owned by SpeakUpNigeria. Poll content created by users remains the property of the creator. By submitting a poll, you grant SpeakUpNigeria a non-exclusive licence to display and distribute that content on the Platform.

8. Disclaimers

Poll results on SpeakUpNigeria represent the opinions of participating users only and are not scientific surveys. Results should not be cited as representative of the Nigerian population. SpeakUpNigeria is not responsible for decisions made based on poll results.

9. Limitation of Liability

SpeakUpNigeria is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to data loss, service interruptions, or inaccurate poll results.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Platform for any user who violates these Terms, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be resolved in Nigerian courts.
